I picked up our box of halves this afternoon and waited for my wife so we could start searching them. When we opened the box, the first thing I noticed was that the coins came wrapped in white and brown wrappers instead of the yellow wrappers we've previously received.Well, the first roll produced a 2005-P.My wife opened her roll and saw a nice shiny 1942 in the roll. Our first 90% silver half. Then she finds another silver half, a 63 Franklin. In the meantime, i find my first walker, a 1940. Well, that was it for the 90% but we did find 4 more 40% silvers.A number of the halves were also marked with JW across the head. Anyone using that mark out there?I know this pales in comparison to some of you out there but it was a lot of fun for us. It took four boxes to produce the first 90%.Thanks for looking. MM2

I am new to this coin roll hunting and would like to know what the deal is on the 2005-P that you mentioned? Is this silver? If not, why is it a keeper.

I just bought some halves today for my first time and maybe I need to go back through them to see if I have any before returning them. I was only looking for anything pre-1971 and any that had an "S" mintmark. None of them had the "S" and some didn't have a mintmark at all.

The bank only had $130 worth and there were 14-1967 & 1-1965. Is this about average?

Would appreciate any advice/help on this. Thanks in advance.

Mountainman 2, yeah its hellafun finding them silvers, I just started coin roll hunting 3 weeks ago and man is it great each time i find a silver whether its a 90% or 40% I get this little rush, LOL!!

Hey Lejeune, for $130 i think you did waaaayy good! I think thats better than average, last week a went through $200 worth and i came up with only 4 silvers.
