So today we went back to the same park as yesterday. They dug up more dirt from gas line work. We found our first Civil War infantry button (cuff I think) and our first bridle rosette! I think the rosette is a Pflueger Enterprise. It is marked with the patent date of Mar, 14, 82 on the back. Got an old spoon handle, lantern part, MO tax token and several odds and ends including a Carters inkwell (I forgot to get pic of). Found a weird lead skull thing with a small hole on top and is like a cap shape. If anyone has any ideas about it, please share. This was the first town square and had 3 different schools on the land beginning in 1851. All gone now. Despite this being a very old property (for this area), we have found only clad and wheat pennies. No silver or old nickles. We may keep trying though. ๐Ÿ™‚

Congrats on your CW Infantry button. It's a beauty. I still remember my first one too up against an old oak tree. Little did I know I was just scratching the surface at that property.
Some nice relics you have there. Looking forward to seeing what else you find.
