Out early and home by 11

Had a short window this AM to hunt for two hours before needing to get into home projects for Saturday, so I went back early to the park that yielded the Williams Cleaner on Thursday and tried the ground a bit further west. An unexpected array of coins and relics came forth in this order: brass ring, 1781 half real, 1926 wheat, 1935 Buff, 2 pieces of glazed pottery (not shown) along with an elongated copper adjuster with a pulley, a utensil handle and ended with an 1871 Indian Head cent. All in just under two hours including a break for conversation with an 81 year old resident who gave me a short history lesson on that end of the park.

Thx for checking out the posts. Pulled the Williams cleaner out of the hole with some extra excavation and the has to locate target with the pinpointer. You can imagine my surprise to find a Civil War bullet.

Yes, I was stoked. The evening before I watched the latest video from Green Mountain Metal Detectors in which Brad found two half reals in one cellar hole hunt. The one I dug today was from a Baltimore City park.

He played football in an amateur league and pointed out where the goal posts were, where there the old trees stood, and how people would come to watch and bet on the games played there.
