Out in the woods

A little sun today with intermittent snow showers. Went out in the woods to see if the snow was still there; yep, pretty much is.

How much longer before the snow stops, RGINN? Is it about June when the weather starts to warm up there in the mountains?

RGINN, the wife and I just spent 10 days in Pagosa Springs. We plan to move there (retire) there in the next 1-2 years. What part of Colorado are you in?

Definitely Au country, tuberale. Lots of mining in the old days with millions and millions produced. This more of a silver area in the pics. I tried detecting the tailing piles over by Leadville. We've had over 500 inches of snow on the mountains this season, and the ground's still froze up. Spring melt hasn't started yet. I'm havin to go about 50 miles out right now to detect or camp much, but one more month and this area will be shaped up, but it can and does snow in any month here. khpony we're up here in Frisco in Summit County north of Breckenridge. Pagosa Springs has a lot of treasure tales. You should be close to Treasure Mountain which would be worth checkin out.
