Is there any way to claim a refund on bottles that are slated for other states? That is, other than traveling(smuggling)into another state to claim the refunds? I hear that is illegal anyway...which is stupid to me if it is. I can't stand throwing bottles in 'recycle' or seeing them in trash that are potentially worth something in other states apart from my own.

That was a great Sinefeld episode!!!! Kramer tried it!!

Hmm, never saw that one.

Metal buyer, will give you value in weight. Not deposit, no deposit was put on the container so no deposit is due to anyone.

Already do that with the 'metal' out of state refundables. But the majority I find are plastics...no one is buying plastics from peddlers lol. Don't get me wrong, i am not desperate or anything...I just wish there was some way to cash in on those...like I said, I find a lot of them all the time. Of course, if there was...I'd find less of them right? Oh well. :/

OH ! The Humanity ! :laughing7:

I found this contradiction Funny on these cheapo near plastic water bottles

gotta watch doing that, some states claim its theft, others only have special upc codes thatll scan and the rest will be rejected. We live next to michigan and unless you have a valid license for that state they wont even take them. Now this is all 2nd hand info so dont shoot the messanger if wrong, but im positive about michigan but everything else could just be people telling me that to keep me from doing it.

The funny thing to me is, the main reason for the deposit is to prevent littering.

However, I'm sure If I drove with 4 people from PA to New York, stopped at a store to re-load on sodas
or Water, & tried to get a deposit on our 4 PA bought bottles, they would say no.
So if we were inclined, They could go out the window in New York,
just so the store doesn't need to fork out 5 cents each :laughing7:

I can understand refusing to pay for truck loads of PA bought bottles in N.y.

but not singles. but yet singles are easier for them to catch

I'm starting a foundation for unwanted bottles...who have a deposit value but no viable monetary home. You can sponsor one bottle for a low cost donation of $.05! I have 183 million of them now...please donate today...they need your help desperately.

Yeah, no kidding. So, my state is littered with bottles that are refundable in other states and not my own. I think that seems a little unfair, I mean...some of us are doing a lot of 'free' work picking those aforementioned subjects up all the time. Someone needs to pay lol. Not only that, but what gets recycled out of pure desire for ecological duty(by some and certainly not all)...someone is making a lot of cash off that situation(recycling companies I suppose)...they should pay us a little bit of that I think. Ok, i am only joking...but it gets me thinking. I either need to start my own recycling company or legislate some change...no pun intended.

Maybe you can trade them to other people in those states, e bay trade?
Bit coin ? Lol! Sorry, I need more coffee.
