Garrett AT PRO, ACE 250, pro-pointer
Primary Interest:
All Treasure Hunting
I dug this object with my Garrett 250 at around 4". At first I thought of a 12ga. slug commonly used in this area for dear hunting. It had a shape and weight of lead. My machine read it as somewhere between brass and silver. After cleaning it I could see peculiar lines on the smooth side and a crystal-like surface on the other side. Careful testing with a small magnet showed a very faint reading on one small spot on the edge. This is hard as stone on every surface. ALIEN or no! I gotta know!

Rub it firmly on the underside of your toilet lid or the back of a ceramic tile. If it doesn't leave any streaks, you might have a meteorite. There's also a meteorite section on these forums. I found something recently and thought it might be a meteorite so I just went through this process.

iron slag. the marks were made by the device used to skim it off the top?

What is the slag, is it magnetic? Why did it ring up high on the detector scale? Just wondering...
