This fish is smiling cause he knows I can't catch him. Then I thought I had a marmot but the pic looks like a big rat. I believe it is a pika.

Good catch RGINN !!! I believe you are right about that being a Pika. We are supposed to have those here in the high elevations, but I have never seen one.

I took TimC (brother) to the PG&E forebay above Stanislaus,CA recently. He caught a 20 inch brown on the first cast... then not even a strike for 3 hours. Yours doesn't look too small either. How big? Nice pics! As we are getting accustomed to from that shutter of yours. TTC

Aw, he's about 2 and a half feet long, TerryC. (Well, there's no reference point in the pic) Naw, this one was only about 10 inches. The weather changed and they started draining down the lakes, so my fishin pretty much has gone to crap. Probably a good time to go back to bow fishin.
