Over stamped?

Hey guys, I dug this 1879 narrow date Victorian Penny a few weeks back.

Is that a over stamp on the obverse? It's perfectly centred.




Any ideas?

Nice coin! It is actually a Counterstamp on the coin . If the Counterstamp can be identified and found to be from a significantly collected source, then you may have a somewhat to fairly valuable coin with Counterstamp. For a Start, you might try the links below.
