Either the machine got backed up or someone left the reject tray filled to overflowing--long story short, I came away with $24.76, plus 21 coppers and a 1944-D wheat. I took the proceeds to my LCS and picked up one of these:

Who doesn't love free silver?

Congratulations! That's an awesome coin star haul!

That's certainly one way to turn common finds into treasure! Congrats! :occasion14:

Congrats. I just checked a Kroger store today and as usual. Nothing. :BangHead:

I'd say that was a good trade off. I do the same with all of the clad that I find throughout the year. Trade it in for the good stuff !

Lol dang that's a lot of coinage found at the coinstar. Way to turn that free clad into a nice piece of silver!

Especially when it's BEAUTIFUL silver. That's one of my favorite coins! Congratz

Very sweet,, not too many coinstar machines around here.

Thank you all. I probably should make a habit of saving up the clad to trade in--it's not often that I'll be able to do it in one fell swoop.

Rook3434, I know the feeling. Keep looking, and it'll happen for you.
