Panning in ellijay/blueridge

Me and my dad came up to blueridge and a buddy of ours always pans for gold and I would like to try it but I don't know where to start

Do u own a gold pan? Also watch some YouTube videos on showing you how to gold pan. Go on eBay or dahlonega and buy some concentrate dirt to practice with and repan the dirt to make sure you get all of the gold
