Still waiting for my farmfield to be finished,it's right next to the park I've hunted for 4 years.
The key plate is copper,I got a deep +70-72,well,I dug and dug,at one point I almost gave up

till I saw the beaded edge as it was laying flat at the depth of my letche, took me well over 10 min.
to retrieve it,glad I didn't give up.Got a thimble and Musket ball too.

GOD Bless

Chris

Those are very nice finds Chris! The keyhole plate is particularly cool!
Thanks for the pics!

Nice key plate.

Nice digs. Thimble's are always a good find.

Very nice relics, great job sticking with the deep dig, it paid off. Sub 8-)

Nice finds! Congrats!
Don't you just love the care and detail that went into everyday objects from the past? The craftsmanship can't be matched.
My last "large" copper wasn't quite that ornate...8" long 1/4" thick piece of old copper pipe, weighted about 5lbs!

Nice finds WT. I like the door plate. GL&HH.

Love that plate ! Hope to find one someday :occasion14:

So right, sad stuff isn't made with craftsmanship like days long gone by.

Blaze,
The fields several of us have hunted for 3 years guys going in there early spring 4wheeling got a kabosh put on it from the farmers..NO MORE MDin,they'll call the cops to issue no trespassing tickets...CRAP.
There are fields all along the Ct. River going back to the early 1600's,guess I'll have to scope them out.

Chris
Nice finds, love the thimble, bet the field is loaded !
Gary

Gary,
It use to be,till I hit it the last 4 years..HEAVY,the farm field has been pretty sweet pickings, sure wish Richie would finish working it.

Love the key plate, too bad they don't put in the craftsmen's ship of yesteryears on todays products.
