Hi everyone, had an hour of sunlight left so I went to a park just a block from home. Since it's only a block from home I hit it all the time. It's been a city park since the 1890's , so I'm hoping for something old but it's been hit hard in the past. In previous hunts I've pulled a couple Rosie's but nothing older yet. At least this parks good for a couple bucks in clad each hunt.
But today I was really rewarded for my efforts. Actually I got very lucky. I had hit a quarter spill and was working it but I kept getting a mid tone mixed in. I thought maybe there was a nickel mixed in. I pulled $2.00 in quarters that were in the grass and kept getting that mid tone but my pin pointer couldn't find it. What ever it was was buried. I dug a plug and three inches down was the glint of gold ! 4.7 grams of 14k ! Ive found a dozen or so gold rings on the beach , this is my 2nd gold ring grass hunting in 4 years.

Whoo hoo !
Thanks for looking. GL&HH !
