XP Deus II v0.6 with 11" Coil
Primary Interest:
All Treasure Hunting
Took a day off, first one this season, the harvest is still late but after my housework, I thought the Park would be worth a try, as it was so wet. I made a slight mistake, as I kept on my 11" Coil instead of the stock & getting to the deeper finds with all the trash was hard. Never did reach the 1800s, nearly with a 1900 Penny:laughing7:

2 Hours:

1 Button:laughing7:
£6.47 - Pretty good spending money ($10 in Clad)
1929 & 1945 Sixpence - Silver saved the day.:icon_thumleft:

A change of scenery, & a bit of fun, even if it was less than the minimum wage.........

Looks like you had your dose detecting... :laughing7: When i see these clipped clad, still common to make your own change in UK? :icon_scratch:

And you're complaining why? If I was there you'd be buying the pints. Great work. Maybe you'll find another Sutton Hoo someday...

What are those things in the first pic.

Great Finds Cru,

Happy Hunting,

Dan

Those clipped coins are likely the result of being sucked up into a lawnmower. Very common here in the western states too...

Had a day off work, got to go detecting and found some silver... nothing to complain about there :icon_thumright:

Sure? That exact cutting relatively thick coins with possible iron core? Amazing. Never hunt parks so i didn't know. Thanks!

Where am I complaining, I had fun:thumbsup:

I would buy the pints for anyone.

This is the time of year when we take what we can get. Treasure comes in many forms, and there's always a way to make some sort of good find, even if it's a departure from the norm. A spot of silver and some beer money isn't bad at all.

Cheers,

Buckles

Cru.. almost sounds like a humorous joke.

What does a professional Metal Detecting person do on his day off? Why Metal Detects of course!

Grats on the fun day!

I like the good pint beer and silver it's always great!

When do you think the rains will end?
I have heard that the hunting show " game fair" was suspended because the grounds are completely flooded...

That's terrible, I he you can start hunting the old stuff pretty soon!

Cheers

MANY events/shows have been cancelled this year, some take a year to plan.

I have heard of many campsites that ended up floating down the rivers.

We may get sun next week.
