And why?

I tried a state park today. It made me crazy in very short order with trash in the picnic areas.

It seems like baseball/softball fields might be better than soccer b/c I think you HAVE to remove metals when you play soccer.

Your opinion?

I've had the most luck around schools...but i have seen a lot of loot being dug from soccer fields....I know in little league baseball no jewelry is allowed to be worn by players while playing games so hadn't really checked any fields, just around the stands. Went around some picnic sites but dug a roll of tin foil...cudda wrapped several sandwiches with that.....So think I'm sticking around the schools for now.

Parks are OK, but like the beaches, they get hit pretty hard. I like the grassy areas between the parking areas and the activity areas. That is where most people are pulling out their car keys and losing things. I have found that grassy parking areas in picnic and camp grounds can be very productive areas for clad. Soccer areas are productive, but you have to watch where the crowds are and then get there before anyone else hunts out the newly lost items. Timing is everything.

Happy Hunting.

I stick to elementary schools - mainly because it is easy now. No kids on the playgrounds on the weekend and I can hunt in peace. I know people find stuff on soccer fields etc, but I just don't understand that. Most kids don't wear jewelry and they don't all have pockets on their uniform. I have found alot of random clad in the fields as I walk from area to area.

I have tried the bleachers, but they are trashy and too much interference with the all the metal.

Now - basketball courts seem to be hotspots for me. All around the edges I find clad.

farmland in the main..........especially after ploughing. Beaches have tended to unearth only modern items, & I've never detected in a park.

Picnic areas in parks have produced the most for me.

I like the high end parks and schools. Good stuff!

For me its parks, but wherever I go the DFX is always finding things. 8)

make out spots - in parks --also benchseats were folks sit and sun soak / read

found 2 pieces-- one gold (plated) earring and a silver bracelet in the parks by benches --the nice bracelet was by a volleyball court in cocoa beach.

on play feilds they tend to not run over cans when mowing for the shrapnel potential people falling and sliding all over the place ;)
but you will run into it sometimes not all the time like in picnic spots loaded with foil and all the fodder of outdoor activities
