2 1/2"X 3 1/2", reads 1776 1876 Centennial, liberty bell and banners, obviously in celebretion of the country's 100th, perhaps on a wreath? any ideas?...........fred

Looks like a "stumper" Fred. I'm sure someone will be able to dig something up on it. It never ceases to amaze me how much members here can find info on. It'll be interesting to hear about it, regardless of somethings value, it's always neat to hear the history about it.

So you're sure it's "tin" and not brass or anything else?

What does the back look like? Anyway a belt was attached to it?

It would have made a fine buckle and about the right size too.
