I live in Villa Rica GA. im quite new to prospecting and am looking to do some weekend panning with my brother. Any ideas where I can go that's open to the public that I don't have to PAY to pan?

Most N Ga creeks have Gold Flakes while some will produce more than others , just depends on how hard you try.

UPDATE:

Was at my parents house over the weekend where I grew up in Lithia Springs GA. Took my pan just for kicks and giggles down to the creek on their land. I was shocked at the amount of black sand in one shovel of sand. Swirled the bs around to uncover 4 teeny tiny flakes in just one shovel. Small but its still gold! pics coming soon. ive got a WHOLE bucket to go through.

Duke's creek has a lot of gold and you can pan certain areas of it for free. Just google it. Its near Helen.
