Pay Pal refund default and my fault

I sold a cap the other day and in the process of giving a small refund for shipping, (charged way to much) I failed to change the Pay Pal default to the amount of the refund I was going to give. Pay Pal default is the full price of the item. Well the buyer at this time has a free Cap and free shipping. I contacted the buyer and said they would repay after the hold on the refund was lifted. Hope there are still honest buyers out there.

I don't think a refund is automatic. I am not for sure about that. The buyer did start following my auction.

There are still alot of honest folks out there. You being one of them by wanting to refund the shipping overage. Here's hoping your buyer is as honest. I'm betting they are.

PayPal: Seeing the status of refunds - If your refund status is Pending, it means that the seller issued your refund, but the money hasn't arrived yet. It usually takes 3-5 days for the money to arrive.
