I have a Troy Shadow X-5 that is in excellent condition for the sale price of $350.00 plus shipping, and includes the stock 7” and 9” spyder coil. A 9" Elliptical coil is also included but the outer insulation of the cord is split and separated from the internal wiring. It should work fine by re wrapping the cord since the wiring itself appears intact. The other two coils are in excellent condition. The X-5 comes with the original warranty registration card showing detector ID #1036 – internet purchase from Cayenne Metal Detectors in New Orleans, LA.

The X-5 has been used very few times and has been stored and well protected. I originally bought the X-5 as a backup detector for gold nugget hunting. I tested it in some of the highly mineralized gold fields in Arizona and discovered that it would not handle the severe magnetite and hematite iron infused ground where gold is known to hang out.
In normal ground conditions it is highly rated. I loved the build quality and user characteristics of the detector so much I decided to keep it as a collector's item simply for its aesthetic beauty and uniqueness. Unfortunately, due to my lengthy RV travel, I no longer have adequate storage room to take along extra detectors.
