Hey great story, I really enjoyed reading it.
Never quit or give up, and for those quiters that are saying to quit, one of my favorite Mark Twain quotes comes to mind.

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”

I love your signature, it is amazing what you can learn by visiting, say a retirement home and having a cup of Joe with the old timers, barely anybody visits them and they really enjoy talking about past times.
The stories I enjoy the most, are where they used to go swimming at as kids, them out of the way places without beaches.
Research, then research some more, then happy happy hunting.

Thanks BC, Last month I did visit with an old timer that was aboard a ship in Hawaii when the attacks came in '42. I held one of the Japanese hand grenades and listened intently as he spoke. The neatest part of all were how mesmerized my kids of 10, 12, and 14 were.

First thing you need to do is check to see is that stretch of beach is already leased by a salvage company. No point in spending all that time and money if you can't take the final step.

I have friends who tell me that buying a metal detector was a waste of money,& that I'll never strike the mother load,I tell them that I didn't buy it for that reason.I've met allot of new friends while out detecting and have detected in some neat places.Remember that winners never quit,& quitters never win.
