Texas Yankee and myself to Colmbus,nm. He and I had chance to go out so we to colmbus were Pancho villa attacked the us we hunted in 105° heat. This what i found any ideas on the buttons also found rifle with marking R.A 17

Love New Mexico. Pass through couple times a year going to visit relatives in Tucson. 105 ? Too hot for me nowadays. Nice finds. Bullet case probably Remington Arms Manf 1917.
