First go at an 1830 home site. Home was just torn down a couple of weeks ago, and the biggest part of the rubble is now gone. It was a really big two story brick home on a large lot. I've been eyeballing it since the demolition. Today I was fortunate enough to catch the owner there and gain permission to detect. He was super nice, went as far as to tell me I could look anytime I wanted over the next few weeks. I didn't find a lot today, but hey it was only "round one" lol! I'm looking forward to "round two"! Wish me luck, it's tough going, super duper trash "mine field". Found some wheats, buttons, junk (I think) pin, a tootsie toy mustang, a small kinda ornate cast piece, and tons of square nails (only pictured 3). Any/all ID help welcome on the buttons and/or small cast piece. I don't know much about buttons, and don't have a clue on the cast piece either. HH Michael

:icon_thumright: You're making good finds your first try! :icon_thumright: I think you've just gotten permission for a true dream site as lots of super stuff will emerge. Keep us posted! :hello2: Andi

Great bunch of finds.

Any markings on the button back? I say the more trash you clean up in looking the better your chances are for finding more goodies underneath or beside. Nice digs!
