Permit??? HELP!!!!

So, a friend of mine and I, went to Patterson Park in Baltimore, armed with my DFX metal detector, got a hit on first target approximately 10 inches deep, as we carefully dug a horsehoe patch and laid the dirt on the towel, a park official came and asked us if we had a permit to dig/metal detect , I didn't know I needed one so I said I didn't , he said we had to refill the hole, and obtain a permit.

Does anyone know where I can obtain a permit to hunt "patterson park"?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
