So its rainy here and the girlfriend is sick and has work at 5 so i got a 25 dollar box just to take an hour and go through.

one roll had a very old wheat and looked very corroded so i took it out and its a 191? something or other. its quite beat so i'm just going to make it whatever date i want. and 2 rolls later out rolled a 1909 wheatie! its in okay condition but its my first! tons of canadians this box... amost 3 per roll i did. pics uploaded shortly!

some nice finds - esp the 1909 and all the Canadians. That 2nd wheat looks like a 1910 from the pics but it's in rather rough shape like you said. I wish I could get boxes like that. I'm about half way through my weekend cent box and I've only found 6 wheats ('40-'58), 3 copper Canadians (r/b '63, '67 with the bird instead of the maple leaf and a '74) and a very unique looking '91 Panama Balboa cent coin.

I've found a few of those panama ones myself! they're kinda funny looking coming out of a penny box but i guess they're more interesting then the average 2000 cent. I've got a jar of those old canadians upstairs and since i'm located close to the border so almost every roll has 2 or 3 or 5 canadian cents. gets annoying so i just take the older ones

Nice score on the 1909 Too bad it didn't have 4 extra letters on it but still a good score

The 1909 will make you take a breath before turning over for the "vdb". Still a cool early find!
