thanks..no not really..i was near a rock shelter where i have been finding paleo indian artifacts. it was just below the surface next to a large boulder. it was manufactured in San Francisco in 1875 and relatively rare or so i'm told. i saw one for sale for 75 bucks but it looks cool here in my home sitting on a shelf. well that was not a very compelling story was it

The fact that you recovered it while artifact hunting makes it interesting. Makes you wonder what else is just below the surface there waiting to see the light of day. Congratulations on your encounter with serendipity!
