Here is another place that will be good for the newbie collector and older salts.
It is again taken from the GEM TRAILS OF ARIZONA publication.
DSC00340.webp These were found right along the road right-of-way heading east toward Woodruf from 77.

I looked up to find a couple locals rooting me on!

This cemetery had MANY huge chunks of pet wood adorning graves.

Some HEROES are buried here!

Okay, and even a NAVY HERO.... husband of Laurie (above).

This little darling only lived less than one day. Sad.

And..... I found a bigger piece, Gumby! Can we go home now?

I found LOTS of colorful pet wood and some agate too. I would HIGHLY recommend this site for good and plenty petrified wood! ╦╦Ç

Double checked dates of Bowlers. Probably Dad and Daughter? Or even dad and granddaughter. ╦╦Ç

I find pieces of petrified wood around the old coal mines behind me. I believe the coal miners may have dug them up and discarded them with the shale. They're not as pretty as other pieces one can find, as there are little gray and unappealing.

Cool pics! It's always sad to look at children's graves.
