My advice:

Find yourself a rock saw and cut off the end tip. This will give you an idea of the inside structure and will show you what it will look like polished. Then, post a picture and we can see what you've got.

I saw all the posts to cut it...don't. A lot of the collecters that I know want it intact...wondering, what would you want for the piece?

Well Its promised to Stan, I just havent shipped it yet, I would like to see it sliced long ways. Theres plenty around here, and some with the Bark showing like this one.

I have some pieces of my own but really like the ones with the knotholes...I work in the gasfields on the Barnett Shale and I find pieces now and again, but none like yours...Would be interested in some of those...PM me if interested.

Well this is the nicest Bark specimen I'v found, it was in Bryan texas, I live between Calvert and Cameron,
I have seen some very Big quartz like agate pieces in Caldwell. Around here I'v only seen clear agate viens, and dark agate but Im about 50 miles from calwell. There are some very large pieces here.
