arizona rockhounding

hi i am going to be in arizona for a week and was wondering if anyone has any tips on rockhounding in the area. any help would be greatly appreciated! thanks

haha ill be sure to kick it before i grab!! im from michigan so the desert is a different ballgame! well my parents have a timeshare in sedona but i will be traveling all around hunting minerals and fossils if possible. payson looks to be a good area?
anyone out there be willing to let me tag along on an outing?
