Got out today with Bill D. and a special (i don't mean slow adult) guest, Vino, and went to an old pounded out site in hopes of recovering something worth while. I didn't get into anything earth shattering but I did find a few early buckle pieces, some old pewter buttons, some flat buttons and a ton of lead (not pictured) This was my first time meeting George and I must say he's a great guy. Hopefully he will come back down to VA for a couple of days and find that buckle or cob he wanted.

Great finds Joey,
It was really nice meeting you yesterday.
Thank you for taking me to that great old site.
It was a lot of hard good fun. Although we didn't set the world on fire, we did come home with some nice old well deserved finds!!
I'll get my post up in a little bit after I take the heating pad off!! Lol

Yeah I'm surprised you made it home after two days of walking and digging. I'm glad you had fun and hopefully we can do it again soon.

I like they way you said you got into early buckles, like that 17th C isn't early enough.

Hey buddy did George wear his spaghetti stained wife beater? Stupid question....of course he did lol. Great earky stuff buddy. Never found a spectacle buckle. You guys dig em like crazy. Some really cool buttons as well. Glad you fellas got together

No he's was presentable and well mannered.....he even apologized every time he cursed, lol. He must not know I'm a Boston native that comes from first generation drunken Irish immigrants who tries to pass himself off as a southern gentleman, haha.

I hate stating time periods then having everyone correct me so now I use broad adjectives [emoji1]
