I found this disk earlier this week that I think is made of pewter.
The heavy disk has the name KEIM engraved on it. A.W. Keim invented the first potassium silicate mineral (waterproof) paint in 1878, which makes me wonder if this is some type of lid to an old paint tin? It seems too small for a paint can, so any help on the ID would be helpful.
