Picked up two War of 1812 Buttons on a quick hunt this A.M.

Been searching for the battle site of the only skirmish from the War of 1812 on land near me. It was called the Battle of Fort Solongo. There's only reference to "Within Site of Long Island Sound" and a general area.
Picked up two 1812 Buttons this A.M. and a second large caliber musket ball within site of the first from last week.
The Musket Ball and two Buttons just a few yards apart has me hoping the'll be a few more.

Great finds sir! Love seeing history come out of the ground, your in a very historic area I'm sure just the tip of the iceberg as far as relics go from that time period.
