Piece of a pocket watch?

Found a few houra ago in Western Pa. Possibly from the back of a watch, but it looks too old for that. Aside from the rising sun pattern, there are no distinct features. It is worth noting that there is a fleur de lis to the bottom left of the circle in the top right. It is pointing towards the bottom left.

Looks to be part of a small watch case, about size 14. Watchmakers usually didn't make their own cases, so can't tell anything about the watch. Always a good find!

To me, this looks to be the fragment of a compass case. :thumbsup:
I can see a sun with rays coming out of it.
