I found what I believe is a piece of a shipwreck at Sandy Hook, NJ. It's about 5 feet long, 8 in wide, and 2.5 in thick. It has 3 wood pegs and 5 brass (possibly muntz metal) nails. It seems to have a little bit of tar on the outside. Can anybody give me an approximate date. Personally, I think about 200 years. Feel free to move this thread to shipwrecks, if that would be a better place.
