IMG_0540.webp today i found a piece of what is possible some old farm machinery in a very old barn site. does anyone know what it is? as you can see there is one large hole and a smaller hole at the opposite end. the "pin" sticking out of it has a notch in the end and none of its edges appear to be bladed.

That one would be hard to ID !
When posting please put something common in the picture so we can see the size of the object you want to ID.

yeah i thought this might be a hard ID. In the future i will put something in the picture for a size comparison. It is 14 1/2 inches long.

With some help i was able to figure out what this piece was and have a picture of one in its original state to share. This is the brace from the runner on an old farm sled used for logging, hauling rocks, etc. This one is for a larger sled than the one i found was for but you get the idea. sled brace 1.webp
