Pink blade

Found this a few years ago one of my favorites. It's 3.5 inches. From Illinois. Has purple mineral line encircling it.

Very nice knife. Likely that's Burlington chert, probably my favorite material.

More than likely heat treated Burlington.

at the first glance i thought it was a glued together broke
it sure is pretty with that line encircling it

Larson, I was thinking internal natural break that the deep color settled into over the years. The surface is smooth over the color line no evidence of it breaking on surface.
