2 3/4 by 1 1/2 Pink Newnan found by me at a construction site in Pasco County Florida. Not the best example of the type but it was my first one, it's always cool when you find your first type of something. Too me it looks like the napper had some problems with the material. This one didn't photograph well, guess due to the greasy heat treated chert.

That's a real nice Newnan & I always liked the Greasy Chert material. It has a little bit of a Levy look to it as well. Construction sites here in Florida used to be good but lately they are using fill that has been screened to meet compaction req. Not too much gets through. So if you're not there when the site is cleared there isn't much to find anymore.

killer piece.. I really like the edgework on that one side.

That’s a nice big point!
It is special when you find your first example of a type.
Congratulations.

Very nice! Makes me want to go back down to the Tampa area and hunt some more.

Black greasy ones don’t photograph well either, at least not with the stuff I have.P.S. Nice one, looks familiar, Lol.
