*Pinpointer Dilemma*

Most detectorists use a Garret at pro pointer or you could go for the standard one. They are good pinpointers and last as long as you dont break them.

Deteknix X-Pointer. Impressive for the price.

Many to choose from.. all good PPs. Just stick with a name brand and you will be good. They are all around the $119-129 price range. If you habe the NOX or another multi freq machine i would not get the Fisher F pulse. Its a PI PP and it drives the multi freq machines nuts. On the other hand it is the deepest PP i have ever seen there is a video on my ch if you want to check it out.

Anyway you can go wrong garrett, whites trx, Profind 35, Fisher..

My favorite is the orange Garrett Propointer AT hands down.
The standard black one has a cheesy on/off button that doesn't last long.

Garrett carrot. Save yourself time, money and grief. I've used a bunch that were the same or more money and the Garrett wins hands down!

Totally agree. All other pinpointers are nothing in comparison.

The carrot is a great pointer but it is not the only great pointer. I love the TRX pointer much more than my carrot. There is a following for the carrot as you can see but there is also a big following for the TRX, Minelab and new fisher pointers.

Garrett Carrot - 5 years now with zero trouble or issues...

I broke the on off switch on one Garrett pro pointer now using another one. I might try a Garrett carrot next time. Welcome to tnet from Niagara Falls.

Thanks for all the info guys. Getting ready to retire in about 14 months so I'm looking to add to me list of hobby's.

#1 Hot Rods

#2 RC Model Planes (Been in this hobby for over 40 years)

#3 Swinging a detector

Garrett! I've tried a bunch and it's a winner with me.

TRX and Fisher/Teknetics/F Pulse pointers are great if you want to fumble around chasing ghost signals.

I'm the most efficient with the Garrett Carrot.

Thanks guys

https://detectorpro.com/land-or-sea-pinpointer/
I use this land-or-sea from detectorpro. I take it with me scuba diving as deep as 25-30 feet (salt water), mostly around 15 feet and never had a problem. Im in the water about 3 hours a dive. The one I own now has about 2 dozen dives, the last one was one of the first on the market but I lost it in the water or Id still be using it. Great for dirt and sand, hasn't falsed on me once. 2 Year Warranty . Consider this.

I might add, getting a cover -or- getting a water-proof pointer.
Some are just weather-resistant.
The switch has always been problems with all pinpointers,..."falsing", also...!
So, warranty is important. Reviews (watch some videos on the use of these machines you want to get, first)
Cost is considered as INVESTMENT, in a Tool that is quite important, in MD hobby.
