hi all this relic a pipe tamper or wax seal or both in one ? i know it dates from the late 1800's and is english

hi kuger the seal was cleaned and when i post the rest of the week end finds there a few pics of it in the ground.Found in a church grounds on the very dry northern plainshere a few pic of site

Even after the letter was stamped, it doesn't seem to fit the normal 'E' of this type face. Closer to a 'C' with an extra dash

looks like an "E" to me. I went to an old english stencil sit and after about 15 pages There were a few stencils that looked like this "E" but the distance on the tail was slightly different.

Has to be a 'E' really, just couldn't get the match.
