Sooo... new to this. Spring break for the kids. We threw some money at the local credit union. Kinda cool as they have a free coin counter in the lobby I can bring the searched back too.

14 rolls dimes
18 rolls nickles
38 rolls pennies
10 rolls halves

1 silver roosevelt 54 dime
6 wheaties
11 pre '59 nickles (0 War)

Uhhh... thats it. I don't think I did so great. Opinions?

One of the pennies is 1935 so my boy thought that was cool.

Am I about 10-20 years to late to this game?

I`d say pickings were better then, but given that you and I just started, its not bad.. :) i`m starting with halves.. they are easy to do, You unwrap the coins leaving them in roll form, scan the edges for the different color, and move on.. Quick and easy, unless you are looking at mint marks etc for specific coins outside of the 69 and under category.. :)

For no more than you searched you did well. Most of us search boxes at a time. There is no get rich scheme involved in this. Decide what you want to look for and go for it!
