Where would platinum and paladium register on a metal detector? Just curious if anyone knows?

Probably down where gold registers, or a bit lower. On my DFX it would have a VDI around 7-9. I got this info from the forum on White's website...I'm doing some prospecting for platinum (running down an old story from the 1930's), so I asked the same question over there.
All the best,
Jim

Thank you. I swung my wifes platinum ring infront of my ace 250 and it registered anywhere from iron to nickel. I just didn't believe it. Lol. I just wanted to hear others opinions to confirm.

Platinum rings I have found read in the gold range. I haven't found a palladium ring yet.

I believe it. If you're prospecting for platinum, I would dig everything. That shouldn't be a big deal as there probably wouldn't be much iron junk anyway.
