Platinum with a diamond

Correction: After looking at the numbers with a higher powered magnifier it showed 750. Which is 18k gold.
High tide line at the base of a 4 ft wall from high tide erosion .. 4 rings at this location in 2 wks... came up 12.26 on the ctx. Was wondering why the ID was so high. Platinum is usually in the low 12's.

Thanks guys. Here's two more that I found with in 75 ft. The 18k and the class ring were w/the ctx. the larger gold band was w/ the excal.

Scored another 14 karat gold ring with three diamonds today . I learned a lesson with this one. Don't get complacent. The area that I was hitting had a lot of small foil and general trash. With the ctx a 12.01, 12.02, 12.03 will generally have me passing it because after digging those numbers relentlessly, it was always junk.This rang as a 12.03. I was in thigh deep , very active water. I figured whatever it was it couldn't be light foil wrappers etc. so I dug it. Sure nuff, it proved me wrong... ... Dig it all.

Ahhhh, the ever so elusive PLATINUM. Though it is currently valued below gold, it certainly is much more rare to find. Awesome! Nice little honey hole ya got there.
