Do any of the pieces fit together? Maybe you can get a better idea of what your dealing with if put together. This looks like die cast or pot metal. Maybe a toy, or toy gun. Not sure.

That's what I thought or maybe a teapot or trinket box as the first photo is definitkey a lid? Do you know how to work out what kind of metal it is?
