Please help identify my gems.

Hello everyone! Me and my family are new gem hunters! We were up looking around near our home town of Merritt bc canada. I was looking at this large rock outcrop and I seen little flat ish oval like gems in the stone, these gems have a rusty type of coating on them and are very crowded together. As well as some are very crumbly yellow crystal. I will post some pictures later tonight.
