Please help me identify this button?

I found a button, very similar to this picture. Mine is brass, not silver. I have only been able to find information about the 1/4 FL coin, nothing about a button, please help?

We really need to see a photo of your actual find in order to identify it. Looking at what you posted, I have a hunch that your button is a modern blazer button.
