Please help

I bought this tea pot at an estate sale. I do not know if it is Japanese or not. It doesn't have any markings on it other than what is on front. The owner of the house was in Japan during WW 2. There was other Japanese items at the sale also. Please help! Thank you!

It to me looks Japanese and from the time before items would say "Made in Occupied Japan", so my guess it was made around 1946-48. So many U.S. servicemen involved with the occupation of Japan, including my father, sent many items such as your teapot home from Japan during those times.
