They do not have it on here because it is a family friendly site that is open to massive amounts of trolls with several usernames who screw up from time to time and forget what name they are using and start posting stuff or PMing folks under another. A dislike button would be cool, but it would be even better if even half these snowflakes who have sent me PMs threatening to kill me, other cops or my family on this family website would meet in person.

Likely also why you can not post private messages, its a family site and what ever happens behind closed doors never happened.

Some of us have been here a while and had thousands of posts before the like button even existed on this site. It's hard trying to playing catch up in a situation like that. Now, if you compare the likes to the posts made when the feature first appeared on this site, we may be having a different conversation.
We can't help we've been here longer than you late to the party newbies around here, lol.

That only works if you have already "liked" a post, I think he is wishing they had a choice of like or dis-like for a post. It is hard enough to moderate with out adding a dislike button, it would be abused if there was one.

Makes sense, did not even consider that side of it really, but I know you guys get strapped with some real petty crap, and it has been said on here before in the past by some users that they would just go around and click the dislike button on every post from users they do not like.

Yes sir the exact reason I said that. It would cause problems and could scare away new members if they got a bunch of dislikes on their first few posts.

I would imagine sometime in 2012 when Forum Foundry bought the site from Marc. I think they took over in Feb. 2012.
