Found in an old farm field.
Appears to be brass/bronze (mostly)
Threaded inside.
Weighs almost a pound!

Plumbing? Maybe a tractor's radiator cap?

.....Yep , a radiator cap....If it has a hole in the center , it was a monometer or moto-meter that held a thermometer.
