Plymouthian , my Chinese friend translated the message on your recent ring find

He says that reading from left to right the message translates loosely to " GOOD LUCK"/ "GOOD FORTUNE"

The first two characters translate to one word ...vaguely "colorful" ( as in a rainbow); the next two translate to the word " good".

I had copied the characters from the ring, and asked my friend to re-copy them more precisely.

Here's a pic with my writing on the top, and my friend's on the bottom.
