Poaching in someone's backyard.

Hey gang, I just got back from a week in Maine. Is it possible to get tired of lobster, scallops and shrimp ? I got bored driving my other half around the Maine countryside looking at the "Fall Color". I stopped at a bank and asked for halves and they had 41 rolls. The nice teller said she had gone thru all of them and could tell me the dates if I wanted her to. I went ahead and took them knowing I was probably getting some dumps. I ended up with 4 keepers( I guess she must have missed). Thanks to "jim in Maine" for the hospitality of his "Mainers". Good luck to all, Jim

Re: Poaching in someone's backyard.

Hope you had a great time.

Sure sounds like you had some great food. ;)

It sounds crazy, but you can get sick of the good food... all good things in moderation. I learned that one from knowing a lot of clammers/lobsterman, etc. They practically give the stuff away compared to restaurant prices, yet I need to turn it down a lot. =)
