I broke down and purchased the 1939D, 1939S, and 1950D that I needed to fill the Jefferson Nickel book on eBay. I didn't feel nickels were worth it to find the 3 most rare coins in the book as in the last 8 boxes I've only found 1 silver war nickel. If my war nickel averages weren't dropping so fast I would have kept the hunt. The 1950D is in BU/MS condition. I'm happy with the purchases. Now I have to figure out how much i can get for this bag of 2000+ Pre 1960 nickels I've built up on CraigsList. I bumped up from 4 boxes to 5 boxes of dimes now that nickels are done. I may do the occasional quarter box as well....


$1250 in Dimes (5 boxes)
Box1: 2009
Box2: 1946, 1948D, 1960D, 1946D with a hole in it (I put a hook on it and just put it on the tree)
Box3: 1959
Box4: 1950D, Decimo De Balboa from 1993.
Box5: All clad

Brings my dime average to 135 silvers from 104.5 boxes. 1.29/box!

I wish I would have read more of your postings. I've got a decent amount of those coins. Would have gladly traded with you. Oh well, maybe next time. Congrats on filling the book!!
