You are correct, for the past 3 weeks I have pulled an older nickle per week from pocket change (a 1946 and 2 1947s).

Was at the grocery store the other day and my girlfriend pulled a wheat penny out of the free change bowl. I thought that was pretty cool.

They are still out there. 3 weeks ago my wife actually received a Mercury Dime back in change, & last week my daughter was at the airport & received a silver Roosevelt in change. Now its my turn ! Nice save.

I have several people in my family that work as cashiers or have access to lots of change, they keep their eyes out for me.....Congrats!

I've have checked my change for the last 4 month's , and can't seem to find one earlier then '61. Nice Find

Only wish I would have found it detecting... But still glad I got it

Pocket change, eyeball find or MDing, its all the same and equally as important.

Lol, that's awesome! War nickles are always a welcome find - especially when digging in one's pockets!

Lol.. Not that old

Treasure is where you find it!
Congrats on your war nickel!

There is a lot of older coins from collections that is making it's way into circulation now days, it pays to check your change.

That's a cool find, congratulations. Heehee, every time I check my pockets I find either a hole, or lint.

I found a 1940 nickel today also! Kungratchyoulayshuns!!!

A few years back I got an uncirculated 1939 D Jefferson nickel as change from a soda machine. I'm sure someone stole it from another's collection. I later traded it for a BU Iowa commerative half dollar. Keep looking people!
